Everyone had to buy something from the grocery shop, spending as close to £2.50 as possible, and making the purchase as exciting as possible.
Gerrod has turned our household activities into a reader competition, and outlines how to enter below:
The question is - who bought what? In fact - it's a competition! The first person who correctly names, (a) which person bought which item, and (b) who went over-budget (> £2.50), who went under-budget (< £2.00), and who spent exactly the £2.50 (two of us), will win a prize!
To help out, here's a description of what the items were, clockwise from the top-left:
- Millionaire caramel slice, and cinnamon and chocolate men
- Raspberry jelly crystals, and a giant jar of salted peanuts
- Betty Crocker Chocolate Fudge brownie mix, and a four pack of caramel wafer biscuits
- Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough ice cream, and a Mars Duo bar

your memory must be fading pop, as the items were outlined in the original post also!
The brownie mix has Shell's name all over it.
To be fair to BitingMidge, the original post did not have the items outlined; I added that in after his comments that the products are "a bit hard to see from the picture".
THIS IS HARD. So many questions, so many variables...
I will need some thinking music. The Girl From Ipanema, perhaps.

I was once told The Girl From Ipanema was standard thinking music... on game shows or some such. Maybe I had the wool pulled over my eyes, hmm.
