I hereby declare Snow Day to be the greatest of all days! Better than Heat Wave Day, better than Hurricane Day, and much, much better than Steady Rain Day.
It's been snowing pretty solidly here since Sunday evening, after the Russians threw some Arctic snow winds in the UK's direction. Hooray for the Russians! They're always doing nice things for other people.
Buses were out, trains were out, tubes were mostly out; roads were reduced to mushy, icy slosh pits; even riding a bike wasn't as easy as you would think.
So, like many other people, getting to work was pretty much out of the question for us. Sadly, we had to stay home and play in the snow all day. It was a very depressing day.
And here's me skiing!

Yay! Captain Snow finally got the powder she wanted! Hooray!
Jules, you are a dangerous dangerous man. Shelley, that tiny fistful of snow is looking rather pitiful next to Julian's Mega- Threatening-Snowball-O-Terror.
True. Fortunately for me, Julian's giant snow-ball turned into one of our many snow men. In my defense though, it was very powdery snow, and I'd just received a whopping. Everytime I bent to get more snow, I got showered with more and more- very hard to concentrate on an attack. Kind of like someone splashing large volumes of water on your face in the pool.
